Church in Action

Killearn Church can be proud to recall as the reaching out to help continues, a soup and bread lunch raised contributions of cash for Mission Aviation Fellowship.

Other members  visited our sister church in Malawi and delivered  pencils/ pens/ notebooks / jotters for children, baby clothes, knitted blankets for babies, spectacles, mobile phones, laptops and software all of which were greeted with great enthusiasm and gratitude. Things we take for granted mean so much more to the people and children in Malawi.

At home the Kirk continued to provide clothes for asylum seekers through St. Rollox Church together with Christmas gifts for their children.

Harvest gifts were distributed to Glasgow City Mission and to local folk.

Other members helped locally in voluntary work including Meals on Wheels, Crossroads, Ballikinrain School, Strathendrick Welfare Fund. They were also involved in the projects of Killearn Community Futures Company, Girlguiding, Killearn Community Council, Killearn  Golden Years’ Club, Thursday Club, Christian Aid and Cancer Research.

It is better to give than to receive – that's the motto of our KIRK IN ACTION.
